I just signed up for the Big Bang. It's already making me nervous and fluttery, and just a little flailyhands. Help! Get ready to see a lot of this guy:
wip of DOOM
3000 / 25000
I should make an icon. An icon for the giant wip DOOOOOM. The poll ended up not being as much of a factor as I'd expected, but it was interesting to see that I'm apparently the only person who likes reading a whole story in one go.

I am indecisive, and want opinions.

I'm currently working on a DCU story that's going to be pretty long. I've got three more days to decide if I want to sign up for [livejournal.com profile] scifibigbang . I'm still trying to figure out just how long the story (tentatively titled "Close to Home") is going to be, because if it doesn't want to hit the 25,000 word minimum, I don't want to try to stretch it. I'm also trying to decide if I could sit on this until December. I like getting feedback as I go, particularly on something I'd be investing so much time in.

There are benefits and drawbacks to both options. Getting feedback always spurs me on, and makes me write more and faster. But if I don't post anything until the story complete, I'm free to change stuff in the early chapters in case the story changes up on me (this is the problem I had with Roh-eh Hanoled, if anyone remembers that fiasco. ^_^; Even Myrtles and Roses, the longest fic I've ever finished (at 58,178 words) started shifting on me toward the end, but that was largely a symptom of my poor planning.

[Poll #1422154]

The questions are, of course, non-fandom-specific, and don't have to relate to me, per se. That said, I am deciding what to do with an upcoming fic. So do you want your Red Robin Tim/Newly Revived Kon now, or later?
