I suck, at least at the internets right now. Working longer hours with T, since she's out of school for the summer, and by longer hours I mean 10-12 hour shifts every day. They're exponentially more exhausting than the short, school-year shifts, since during the school year we never spend three hours at a time in a pool.

I'm waiting for T's mom to get home now so I can go to my mom's and make plans for EPIC VACATION at the end of the summer, the absolute best part of which is I GET TO MEET kirax2 ! Woooo!  How exciting is that? Anyone else in the San Diego and/or San Fransisco areas who'd like a meet up, let me know! I'm only having to pay a little fraction of my airfare, and none of my rooming costs. Best vacation ever, right? Though it would be nice if I actually had the paid vacation time I thought I was supposed to have.

I'm really tired right now - I was going to go to the gym after work, until mom called, but now that I've been sitting down for most of an hour that seems like it was a foolish idea. I swam/pool-walked more than half a mile today, dragging T behind me the whole way, often with her kicking *the wrong way*. I feel a little like I'm made out of pudding.

People who are in better shape than me are going to read that last bit and mock me.

Anyway, projects currently in progress are, a) kirax2 's insane birthday present, which she's seen the start of now because I really do suck, and I got stuck, and I needed her. Still stuckish, but not feeling quite so useless about it. b) ridiculous identity porn for batstalker  (a sequel to Public Transports) and c) - I've started collecting my notes and putting together something like a basic outline for the currently untitled sequel to Close to Home. Now don't jump on me about the last one, because it's in the preliminary stages still and I won't be posting anything for a while, but enough people have asked about it, I thought I should mention I have at least started thinking about it again (it took me a while to recover from burnout on that universe).

Also I need to FIX MY FIC INDEX, because I think the most recent thing on it, not counting series updates, is from December. Because I suck.

I am not in San Francisco but I can be really easily. Let me know when you'll be in the area and I will TOTALLY MEET UP WITH YOU. :D Alternatively, if you want to come down to sunny Santa Cruz, we'd love to have you, and you could probably stay with me if you're comfortable with that.

While I would be completely thrilled for the opportunity to visit you in Santa Cruz, the problem is, this is mostly family vacation I'd be there for. I'm already making a side trip to see kirax2, with different flights from my family and three or four extra days of trip. But I would love, love, love to meet you for an afternoon or something in SF!
