The bit about Clarence being afraid of Kon was excellently handled. I love that Clarence was afraid and that Kon only realized it almost too late and that Kon suddenly realized what hunching over and talking softly was good for. Makes Clark make more sense, eh?
The teacher also touched me, which I didn't expect from someone giving a lecture. He wants to do good, but he can't change people's minds, can he? All he can do is provide all the support that he can.
Lol about worrying about being like Lex. Adventure Comics is running the idea into the ground, but it's a good one. I can't wait for Kon to realize that he likes chemistry too and OH GOD, that's Luthor's favorite!
It's also great that Kon lacks the context for kids' interest in art. He should feel alien like that.
Is that Nell the Nell from the tv Smallville? I dunno if she's got a comics counterpart.
I also liked Kon trying to compensate for the stuff he usually relies on his teammates for.
Cross is not being at all sympathetic, I have to say.
