This really does seem like it has plot and is going somewhere interesting. I'm intrigued to read more. I might even make it last, not just gobble it down.
It is kind of long to read in one sitting...though people apparently have. I'm glad the start is iintriguing enough to catch your interest!
(I also liked the part about the sterile hybrids and the "statistically true" about the perps being part of the family.)
I'm so glad you liked the hybrid lecture. I was afraid of scarring people away with science. ^_^;
