Urban Legend, which is a sort of prequel to 6 November, made me laugh. 6 November? Made me flail madly. I mean that literally. I spilled my drink and everything.
Urban Legend
6 November
From 6 November:
“You cannot be allowed to continue,” he says.
The wind begins—just enough to bite Light’s cheeks. “I won’t stop unless you kill me.”
He doesn’t nod. “I know.”
“—You don’t want to, do you.”
“No.”
Light smirks. “Because I’m right.”
“No,” he repeats, “that’s not it at all.”

I've always wondered who Subaru would wind up picking as his successor. (I love the tragedy of the Sakurazukamori's means of succession, and I've been fascinated with it since I first wrapped my brain around it). Kamui's the only person he's got any kind of emotional connection to, after Seishirou's death, and I suppose we don't know that he doesn't survive the manga, and I love anything that plays into the parallels of Kamui and Subaru's life tragedies. But Kamui probably Dies At The End, and anyway, he doesn't feel quite right to me. He's too strong and too aware of what happened to Subaru to let Subaru trick him, and he's not going to kill Subaru on his own.
So, we assume, it's got to be someone we don't know yet. Or someone from another fictional work entirely! *cackles madly* It doesn't happen here, but I really thought it was going to, for a bit there. And wouldn't that have been crazy! And it shows Subaru thinking about the problem, which I like. And also being indecisive, which is kind of what Subaru is good at.
Anyway, if you were bad and read this without reading the story, shame on you, and now go read it anyway.
