I had to think long and hard about this one, since I' m not terribly well traveled. And then it hit me! I doubt anyone on my flist has been into the lower caverns at Carlsbad, which require special permits, a ranger or two, and spelunking gear.

It's gorgeous. Though the best way to see it is, as I said, with spelunking gear and a park services guide. And a professor, at that. The bats and the cave swallows are so cool.

(and speaking of cave swallows, have you been reading Petshop: Tokyo? Because no one I know is and it's making me flail!))

Of course. I have the newest volume on immediate preorder! It's so fun. Besides Naruto, it's the only manga I'm really interested in right now. Luv it!!!

It's fabulous, isn't it? His landlord isn't nearly as fun an antagonist/unwitting-partner-in-crime as Leon, though. My favorite bits so far have been the short little bits and the ends of the side stories that hint at Leon following D all over the planet. Gushy fangirl that I am.

And the badly spelled message Fei gets warning him about D! That made me cackle. I assume/hope he means badly spelled in Chinese, too, which makes me even happier, because it means Leon's at least attempting to learn Chinese. That's dedication. ^_~

As for the Bilge Pumps, the files you put on my comp still wouldn't play so when I was cleaning out my computer, they got deleted...I really wanted to hear them too. *pout*

I'd love to own a copy of the poems in the Dunstan Thompson book.^^ They were lovely when you read them to me. Don't even have to own a copy of the book itself, but copies of the poems would do. ^^ I guess now you know what to get me for Xmas,lol.

As for Carlsbad...Hmm... I've always wondered what it was like.

Once we have a proper computer in the house again (I'm on Dad's old laptop/Andrew's senior thesis machine at the moment) I'll see about making a torrent of Bilge Pumps stuff, and maybe a Best Of for the Corsairs (not many songs, since they've specifically asked not to have their albums file shared. I want to pimp them, though).

I've often thought about collecting Thompson's stuff on a website somewhere, but I'm afraid of being sued. His work has never been reprinted, and it's really in danger of being completely forgotten.

Same with Young Heroes in Love, actually (which I considered for this list). I'm the only person I know of with the full series run (#1 signed!), including people who buy and sell comics for a living. It does have a wikipedia page, now, though. And I didn't make it! But I've often thought of scanning the whole (18 issue) series and posting it/torrenting it somewhere.
