I've got a new job, starting Tuesday (which is technically tomorrow at this point in the evening). I'll be working in a bakery/chocolate shop. School is going well. I had a test last Saturday, and another one tomorrow (later today).
I was supposed to be tutoring someone in biology today, but she didn't show, so I went over to a friend's place and got her hooked on Tokyo Babylon. I haven't really thought about TB/X in a while, and would like to reread some of my favorite fics, but my computer is completely dead and I have no access to my old favorites list.
So, clever friends of mine, I have a request. Anybody know where I can find:
1. Story is from the PoV of a detectives. Set during X. Seishirou kills someone in an alley for trying to put hands on Subaru outside a bar, and the detective is investigating. Karen and Kamui bring Subaru into the police station because they think he was assaulted (he's got some, ahem, bruises).. It's a really interesting fic, being told from the pov of someone on the periphery of the supernatural world of X and TB, and really well written.
FOUND: Silent Night, Lonely Night, In My Line of Work, and In My Line of Work II by Leareth. Totally as good as I remembered. This may be my favorite fanfic (arc) evah.
2. This one is much shorter. Subaru is going a bit mad, and thinks he's hearing voices in the hum of the vacuum cleaner. He also dreams/hallucinates/is visited by Seishirou, who is now missing both eyes and stumbles blindly after him across the room. Very creepy. I think it's white or gray text on a light blue background, and I seem to recall the title was one word, maybe starting with a D? Or I could be nuts.
3. I think the title is "Ashes to Ashes," or maybe "From the Ashes." Seishirou and Fuuma don't die in the events of X, but Subaru and Kamui think they did. There is much boyfriend swapping. Subaru is a total abusive ass to Kamui (not sure why I like that so much, except that it's more Subaru being fucked up.)FOUND: And from the Ashes by Kouri
4. This one was just a bit graphic and violent. A confrontation under the sakura tree that ends with bondage and a broken arm. Again, not sure why I liked this one so much. I want to say it's white text on a black screen.
5. A man finds a box of paintings in his home, behind a secret panel. Seishirou locked his emotions up inside the paintings, and they find their way out through the man. In the end, he mets elderly Subaru and gives him the paintings, including a final painting of Subaru that has no emotion locked into it because Seishirou kept it. The story is illustrated (and beautifully so)
6. TB/X / YnM crossover, in which Seishirou informs Muraki that he can't abide copyright infringement.
Hopefully someone can help me track these down.

Date: 2007-09-19 11:26 pm (UTC)Right up until the smoke started coming out of my computer, I was planning on putting together a proper rec site. I had literally hundreds of fics from several fandoms indexed, and a lot of reviews written. Then bug (literal bug) in my computer, and bzzt. Bye bye fics and recs and AMVs and music and all my homemade Sims 2 stuff. I cried.
