I read this story on LiveJournal years ago and wanted a reread now that my feelings regarding DCnU have faded. This part in particular made me cackle:

"Conner Kent!" she shouted as he flew off up the stairs. He heard her fuming as he stripped and started the water, and then she shouted up the stairwell, "I wish Clark had given you a middle name!"

I suddenly have so much sympathy for Martha Kent. Shouting a relative's name is so much more satisfying when there's a middle name.
