This is developing nicely. I don't know quite what to make of Conner's ineptitude at the social thing. Cassie's right, I guess--he's used to being a celebrity, and everyone wants to get close to celebrities. He really doesn't know how to be a normal boy.

I like how he compared Jake's hand to Tim's. I like how Tim is totally present, even when he's absent.
