3) I've heard the phrase used in various ways for various characters, but I truly believe Tim Drake is the little black dress of obsessive sidekick doom. It's just, there are certain sidekick positions he's better for, and this is one of the most awesome (aside from Robin, of course.) I was totally able to picture the whole kitchen scene where Booster finds him so vividly that I was surprised on re-reading it to find there wasn't all that much detail. What was there just set the scene perfectly.
4) *wibbles* Oh, Tim. Poor, broken Tim. Still so much of the Tim we love in him, but twisted up so much that it hurts so good bad. I started tweaking to something being wrong when he made references to the one lady, who I figured was Lady Shiva, but I didn't get it until just before Bruce did. So sad, for everyone. What a bleak place the future of this AU would be, without Dick and without the Tim we know, even (or especially) with the follow-up that Kirax2 wrote.
5) Dammit Dick, I've never been more sad that you saw reason! Wait, no, there's so many awesome places this could go. Dammit Dick, why couldn't you have done this in canon! Engineer Tim, Businessman Tim, Photographer Tim, Model Tim, Dick's Sidekick Tim and in all of them he ends up in a distinctly non-brotherly relationship with Dick. Heh. Bad Soshi. Or maybe Tim still ends up Robin, but this just fixes Dick's relationship with Bruce and they're all one big happy family. Glee!
